About the photographer

Profile.jpg

A recipient of the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards (2017 and 2018), National Awards and Canon Photo Marathon Asia Championship 2018, La Mo (1977, Siem Reap, Cambodia) has made photography his "favorite hobby, or let's say passion" since 1994.

Always avoiding overstaging, La Mo's photographs capture the authenticity of a moment, a motion, a facial expression. As a Fujifilm X-Photographer, he has also developed his own technique in capturing wonders of Nature, from breathtaking landscapes to delicate flora details.

While he has traveled extensively across Southeast Asia (in particular Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and Thailand), Japan and Europe. La Mo loves all things related to Cambodian culture and lifestyle, from religious rapture in village ceremonies to the patient repetition of farming and harvesting.

Through his latest project, Unseen Cambodia, La Mo thrives to find the universal in the most intimate and particular moments, exploring the remotest places of his beloved country on his motorbike.
